Inclement weather policy for the CincyChallenge

Given that the tournament occurs during the school year, and the daylight hours are short, games will be expected to start on time and be played in all conditions, except the following:

1) Lightning
2) Field becomes dangerous due to pooling of water, or accumulation of ice.
3) Sub-freezing temperatures that pose a risk to player safety.

In the event that a game needs to be stopped due to inclement weather, you will be instructed by one or all of the following methods:

1) Notified by tournament official
2) Referees
3) Air Horn - Two long blasts indicate that play is suspended.

Everyone should then go to their cars or a place of safety. DO NOT LEAVE THE SITE. The airhorns will sound again, or you will be informed by a tournament official when everything is "all clear." You should then return to the field. If it is necessary for you to check with Tournament Headquarters regarding this situation, we ask that only the head coach go to the headquarters shelter.
